Black Butler is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yana Toboso. It follows the story of Ciel Phantomhive, a young nobleman who is also the head of the Phantomhive household and a business prodigy. He is accompanied by his demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis, who is bound to serve and protect him until Ciel's revenge is complete. The series is a mix of dark fantasy, supernatural elements, and Victorian-era aesthetics, and it has been adapted into an anime series as well. **

Black Butler is both an anime and a manga. The series was originally created as a manga by Yana Toboso and was later adapted into an anime. The manga was first serialized in 2006, while the anime adaptation premiered in 2008. Both the manga and the anime follow the story of a young boy named Ciel Phantomhive and his demon butler, Sebastian Michaelis, as they navigate the dark and mysterious world of Victorian England. **

The Black Butler manga is still ongoing, with new chapters being released periodically. The anime adaptation, on the other hand, has concluded with its third season. While there have been talks of a potential continuation of the anime, as of now, the series has not been renewed for another season. **

The Black Butler anime ends at the 13th episode of the first season, which is an original ending not found in the manga. The manga continues the story beyond the events of the anime, so if you want to know what happens next, you'll need to pick up the manga from where the anime left off. The manga provides a more complete and ongoing story, so fans of the anime may want to continue the story by reading the manga. **

The main difference between the Black Butler manga and anime is the pacing and depth of the story. The manga delves deeper into character development and plot details, providing a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the narrative. On the other hand, the anime tends to condense and sometimes alter certain storylines to fit within the constraints of a television series, leading to a more streamlined but potentially less detailed adaptation. Additionally, the manga continues beyond where the anime ends, offering fans a chance to explore further into the Black Butler universe. **

The anime and manga of Black Butler can be compared in terms of their storytelling, character development, and visual presentation. Both the anime and manga follow the same basic plot and character arcs, but the manga often provides more detailed and nuanced storytelling due to its longer format. Additionally, the manga allows for deeper exploration of the characters' thoughts and emotions, while the anime may have to condense or simplify certain aspects of the story. Visually, the anime brings the characters and settings to life with animation and voice acting, while the manga relies on detailed artwork and the reader's imagination to convey the story. **
