Filler episodes in anime are episodes that are not based on the original source material, such as the manga or light novel. These episodes are often created to give the original creators more time to develop the main storyline, or to prevent the anime from catching up to the source material. Filler episodes may feature side stories, new characters, or unrelated plotlines, and are often considered non-canon by fans. While some filler episodes can be entertaining, they are generally seen as a way to prolong the series without advancing the main plot. **

Boruto is a canon anime, meaning it is based on the original manga series created by Masashi Kishimoto. The anime follows the story of Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto Uzumaki, and his adventures as a ninja in the Hidden Leaf Village. While there are some filler episodes in the anime, the overall story and character development are considered canon and are part of the official Naruto/Boruto storyline. **

One of the shonen anime with the most filler episodes is "Naruto" and its sequel "Naruto Shippuden." Both series contain a significant number of filler episodes, especially in "Naruto Shippuden," where nearly half of the episodes are considered filler. Another shonen anime with a high number of filler episodes is "Bleach," which has a large amount of filler content in its later seasons. These filler episodes are often used to give the manga time to progress, but they can be frustrating for viewers who are eager to see the main story progress. **

Filler episodes in anime are episodes that are not based on the original source material, such as the manga or light novel, and are created to give the original creators more time to develop the main storyline. These episodes often feature side stories, comedic moments, or non-canon events. Recap episodes, on the other hand, are episodes that summarize the events of the series so far, often used as a way to refresh the audience's memory before a new story arc begins. Both filler and recap episodes are commonly used in long-running anime series to manage the pacing and production schedule. **

Anime canon refers to the episodes or content that directly follows the original source material, such as a manga or light novel, and is considered to be part of the official storyline. Filler episodes, on the other hand, are episodes that are not based on the original source material and are created to fill in gaps in the storyline or to give the original creators more time to develop new content. Filler episodes are often not considered part of the official storyline and may not contribute to the overall plot or character development. **

OVAs (Original Video Animations) are not necessarily filler, as they can provide additional content, character development, or side stories that may not have been included in the original anime series. While some OVAs may be considered filler if they do not contribute significantly to the main plot or character development, others can be important and enjoyable additions to the overall story. Ultimately, whether an OVA is considered filler or not depends on how it is integrated into the overall narrative of the anime. **

To watch the anime Boruto without filler, one can use online platforms that provide episode lists with filler episodes marked. By referring to these lists, viewers can skip the filler episodes and watch only the canon episodes that are essential to the main storyline. Another option is to use streaming services that offer the option to skip filler episodes or provide edited versions of the series with filler removed. Additionally, some fans create their own edited versions of the anime, removing filler episodes and creating a streamlined viewing experience. **

Filler episodes can serve a purpose in providing character development, world-building, and giving the main storyline a break. They can also help maintain the pacing of a series and allow for more exploration of secondary characters or subplots. However, too many filler episodes can detract from the overall narrative and frustrate viewers who are eager to see the main story progress. Ultimately, the importance of filler episodes depends on how well they are executed within the context of the series. **
