A privateer is essentially a privately-owned ship authorized by a government to attack and capture enemy vessels during wartime. A privateer's day-to-day activities would likely involve patrolling the seas, scouting for enemy ships, and engaging in combat when necessary. They would also have to manage the crew, maintain the ship, and handle any captured goods or prisoners. Additionally, privateers may spend time strategizing with their government sponsors and coordinating their efforts with other friendly ships. **

The hour and minute hands of the Fossil Privateer Mechanical watch do not work because this particular model features a seconds subdial instead of traditional hour and minute hands. The main function of this watch is to display the seconds, hence the absence of hour and minute hands. This design choice gives the watch a unique and distinctive look compared to traditional analog watches. **

The hour and minute hands of the Fossil Privateer Mechanical watch do not work because it is a skeleton watch, meaning that the movement of the gears and mechanisms inside the watch are visible through the dial. In a skeleton watch, the focus is on showcasing the intricate inner workings of the timepiece rather than on the traditional functionality of the hour and minute hands. Therefore, the hour and minute hands are stationary, allowing the wearer to admire the mechanical movement of the watch. **

The hour and minute hands of the Fossil Privateer Mechanical watch may not work due to a mechanical issue within the watch movement. This could be caused by a broken gear, a loose connection, or a problem with the winding mechanism.
