To freeze lingonberries, start by washing them thoroughly and removing any stems or leaves. Then, spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer and place them in the freezer for a few hours until they are firm. Once the lingonberries are frozen, transfer them to an airtight container or resealable plastic bag and store them in the freezer. They can be kept frozen for up to a year and used in smoothies, jams, or baked goods. **

Fries served with lingonberries are typically served as a side dish or accompaniment. The lingonberries are often served as a sauce or jam on the side of the fries, allowing diners to dip the fries into the lingonberries as they eat. The combination of the savory, salty fries with the sweet and tart lingonberries creates a delicious contrast of flavors. This dish is popular in Scandinavian cuisine and is a unique and tasty way to enjoy fries. **

I personally enjoy eating my schnitzel with lingonberries. The sweet and tart flavor of the lingonberries complements the crispy and savory schnitzel very well. However, I understand that some people prefer to eat their schnitzel with ketchup for a tangy and slightly sweet flavor. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and both options are delicious in their own way. **

Lingonberries can be used in a variety of ways beyond adding them to schnitzel. They are commonly used in jams, jellies, sauces, and syrups due to their tart flavor. Lingonberries can also be used in baking, such as in pies, tarts, and muffins. Additionally, they can be added to smoothies, yogurt, or oatmeal for a burst of flavor and a nutritional boost. **
